The Blue Mountain Forest Stewardship Initiative (FSI) fosters community collaboration through land stewardship, forest health and fire mitigation efforts.
Neighbors helping neighbors for the benefit of all.
Events are are community funded through donations to the FSI. Residents are asked to pay for services received by making a donation.
How to Make a Donation or Payment
Payment for services: The FSI plans forestry and fire mitigation events, coordinates work events, pays vendors and directs a hard working volunteer force. Residents receive our coordination efforts and the work of the volunteers for free, but are asked for a donation to cover the hard costs incurred for work on their properties. A "suggested donation" email is sent after each event to show the resident's hard costs, but most folks donate more in gratitude of help they received.
Donations: The FSI is run by an all volunteer, unpaid board of directors. Each year, proceeds from our fundraising efforts must first cover our only administrative expense: Insurance. We must carry both Errors and Omissions coverage for our board members and a hefty General Liability policy. With your support we can continue to honor our stewardship mission. Every cent you donate is used to the benefit of our beautiful community.
